Open letter for doctoral tuition fees exemption

Pour accéder à la version française

On the first Day of August, we, the collective for the Paris-Saclay University employees with insecure status – Coll·doc – have sent an open letter to the Présidence of Paris-Saclay, the Maison du Doctorat as well as the directions of the Doctoral Schools.

In this letter, we request the exemption of tuitions fees for the start of the 2022/2023 academic year and the contractualization of doctoral students. Indeed, doctoral students are in a very precarious situation and it is becoming urgent that the University of Paris-Saclay take protective measures for doctoral students, especially in a context of chronic underfunding of the University as well as strong inflationary pressures, a situation that we are all suffering from.

At stake is the full and complete recognition of doctoral students as professional workers by the University. We are essential workers of the University, without which it could not carry out its public service mission and as such, it is necessary that we work together to improve our working conditions.

We therefore invite you to sign this letter by filling out the form below and to circulate it around you!
